The second Newclose Beer Festival will take place on Friday 28th June (from 4:00pm), Saturday 29th June (from 12 noon) and Sunday 30th June (also from 12 noon) 2024. The 250-seater marquee will be available in the event of inclement weather.
Entrance will be £10 which will provide the event Programme detailing the 35 beers (and 4 ciders) that will be on offer, a rigid-plastic Beer mug and your 1st pint; advance booking is not required.
Beer tokens, each buying a half-pint, will also be available to purchase at £2.50 each.
For non-beer drinkers there will be wine available in the marquee – as well as a wide range of alcoholic beverages in the Newclose Pavilion; pasties, sausage rolls, hot dogs and chips (as well as vegetarian options) will also be available.
Entrance will be either through the main gates to Newclose on the A3056 (a mile outside Newport) or from the Newport to Sandown cycle track.
Southern Vectis routes 2 and 3 pass by with a Newclose bus stop immediately outside the ground. There is also ample car parking inside the ground at Newclose.
Weather permitting, on the Saturday there will be a 1st XI cricket match between Newport Cricket Club and St Helens Cricket Club (starting at 1:00pm) taking place and on the Sunday there’s a 6-a-side cricket competition involving 9 Island sides - in full flow from 12 noon.
Musical entertainment will be provided by Second Time Around (Saturday) and The Crew (Sunday).
Newclose is Disability Discrimination Act compliant; well behaved dogs (on leads) will be most welcome - with water bowls provided.
The trustees hope you will pay Newclose a visit and look forward to welcoming you.
